Kits upgrade single-mode access points to 802.11b-802.11a dual mode: 802.11a 5 GHz, 54-Mbps kit upgrades single-mode Access Point 8200. 802.11b 2.4 GHz, 11-Mbps kit upgrades single-mode Access Point 8500. Each upgrade kit includes an IEEE-standard 802.11b or 802.11a radio in a mini PCI card, antenna module, radio-to-antenna cables, firmware and user guide. 802.11b radio supports antenna options for extended wireless connection range; 802.11a radio supports turbo mode that boosts performance to 72 Mbps. Wi-Fi certification ensures interoperability.
