| The 3Com AirConnect 11 Mbps Wireless LAN Access Point is a wireless hub that acts as a bridge between the Ethernet backbone of your wired LAN and your wireless client. Typically affixed to a ceiling or wall, the access point sends and receives data from up to 63 simultaneous users (with AirConnect wireless PC Card-equipped notebooks) within a radius of 300 feet or 91 meters. The 3Com AirConnect access point features built-in diagnostics and power-up self-check, upgradable firmware, antenna diversity, and support for SNMP. Each includes a PowerBASE-T module, which supplies the access point with both data connectivity and the DC power it requires, giving you the cost-saving option of running a single 10BASE-T line out to it. |
