| The TROY EtherWInd wireless print server is a compact device that lets 802.11b-compatible computers access virtually any type of printer on any of the major network operating systems without using a cable! It is therefore perfect for any application where running network cables is impractical or too expensive, or where the printer must be frequently moved. The EtherWind includes both a bi-directional IEEE 1284A parallel port and an RS-232 serial port for handling up to two printers simultaneously. Even with its wireless capabilities and powerful features and performance, the EtherWind is surprisingly affordable.The EtherWind supports Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) operation with automatic selection of 1, 2, 5.5 and 11Mbps speeds depending on environmental conditions. It handles Open System and supports normal or 802.11b WEP encryption (40-bit and 128 bit) modes. The EtherWind is Wi-Fi certified to guarantee compatibility with the many WECA-certified 802.11b devices available from other manufacturers.This wireless print server comes bundled with EtherSync PC Card. |
