Very good ittem, February 25, 2008

I really enjoy my router, I can take my laptop any where in the house and still get great connection. Even if I sit on the porch, I have no problem. You should get one.

I got this product to replace a failing Netgear router. The setup was simple, the interface good, and the performance rock-solid. I'd recommend it to anyone for home or light office use.

This router was easy to set up. It works very well for me and is very fast. I would recommend it over any of the other routers that I have owned in the past.

much better than the lynksys one I bought, January 13, 2008
By user (Willing,Germany)
I had one of the blue lynksys routers and could never get it configured to work with my system. I tried the call number, nothing worked long term. I had computer whiz kids come over and tinker with it....no good. I saw this on sale and bought it and set it up by myself and it has worked flawlessly since. And the reception works all over the house and it is well over 2500SFT.

I bought this for a gift for my daughter thinking that it was the same router I already own (the one actually shown in the product page picture)I don't know if Belkin has changed the design of these - but beware - be certain you check to ensure you are getting what you think you are. If this does not work as well as mine I will return it.

Excellent Router!!! Five Stars!, December 13, 2007
By user (Lexington, KY USA)

This router is excellent! I previously owned a Linksys WRT54G Wireless router--which was extremely slow, wireless coverage and functionality was patchy, and tech support was horrible. I recently purchased the Belkin Wireless G Plus router and am absolutely satisfied. The Belkin router is extremely fast (its hard to tell you are even wireless!) and very easy to install (I installed with no problems and didn't even have to use the easy install disc). I am 100% satisfied with this router and will remain a Belkin customer for years to come. I give this router 5 Stars. I highly recommend this router!

    Don't bother, December 12, 2007

I have bought two of these, within a short amount of time for each other. I bought the first one, because my Linksys wireless kept rebooting whenever the wind blew. The only good thing that I have to say, is that it has been stable. I have not had it randomly reboot.
Other then that, the product and the customer support is horrible. First off, of the two that I bought, they are both different versions (Not printed on the product box) and they both have different features. My older one supports wireless bridging, which is why I bought the second one, which doesn't. NO problem I will just upgrade the firmware.
The Belkin website has a different picture for the F5D7231-4 then what I have. Then I download the patch for update (maybe it is just a faulty picture posting I think) only to have that fail every time. And a quick search pulls up plenty of other people trying to get there firmware updated also to the same effect.
That on top of the Belkin class action suit for false advertisement, make me want to toss these routers out the window and start again. This model has officially been downgraded from router to untrusted access points in my network.

Router performs well with 2 notebooks attached. Extra PC's doesn't seem to degrad throughput. Not too hard to set up. Good product overall

    IT'S WONDERFUL!, October 29, 2007

I bought the Belkin to replace a Netgear 834, which would work on somedays and not on others. After resetting the Netgear by holding it upside down and pressing the reset button, I said, "Enough!" and ordered the Belkin. Setup is So Simple: Insert CD, plug in router, switch cables, install the security code, and BAM, it works. No Unplugging the modem, counting to 120, plug in router etc etc. Accessing Belkin's website was a breeze, not "the login may work if you say pretty please" Netgear ordeal.
I get four bars in a distant bedroom that has three thick adobe walls from the where the Belkin is. It's truly a wonderful device.

As advertised, pull it out of the box, plug it in, make a few connections and follow the simple online instructions and you are up and running. Great product.

    Great Router, August 17, 2007

Another fine Belkin product. I owned this router for over a year, and have since passed it on to my sister. Other than the occassional drop from my cable modem, I had solid wi-fi coverage in a three story townhouse. Typically with "excellent" signal strength. I used MAC filtering for awhile then switched to purely WPA-PSK encryption and never had a problem with security. I currently have the Belkin "N" router; considering taking it back to the store for the N1, because wi-fi connectivity isn't very solid... so I will probably buy this one again if the "N1" is problematic.

This Router is not for Mac users, August 7, 2007
By user (Fremont, California)
I got this router to replace a d-link DL-624 router that died since this manufacture has a reputation for supporting Mac users. Although this router is easy to set up, this particular model has some glaring problems- Our family uses wireless network printing using the Appletalk protocols to several wired printers, but this wireless router does not pass Appletalk printer signals and the printers are not seen on the network. The Belkin Product support services in India have no experience with Macintosh and are of no help. In fact, as a consumer, I kow more about the product and configuration than them, since all they can do is read from scripts. I am relegating the router to a travel router, where I don't need to print something.

Product was very easy to install - less than 15 minutes and we were up and running. Everything has been running smoothly since the set-up, so I would recommend this product.

The Belkin Wireless router is great. Easy to setup and great in performance. It lived upto the reviews that I read before buying. The purchase online was also easy and fast.

More than you'll need , Super Value, June 23, 2007

My old Netgear router died so I started researching routers. There's so many it's confusing but I did narrow it down to the Hi-Speed G since the new N-1 technology is not proven and most devices won't pick up the signal either. To me it came down to not paying more than needed. Some other companies have all these fancy lights and stuff but they all do the same thing so why pay for it. I went with this router and I coudn't be happier. I had it connected and running on my XP systems without even installing the software. I was up and running within minutes. I have 3 devices running off it, a desktop, laptop and a Playstation3 and all connected and work smoothly.

I love the way it streams video to my Playstation 3.

The best router for the money hands down.

Flawless Performance even to my Playstation 3, June 18, 2007
By user (New York)
I bought this to replace my Belkin B router. This had to be the easiest switch in my life. I just unplugged my old router and powered this up and I was up and running. I have 3 laptops and my Playstation 3 all working off this and they all run without any problems. Don't hesitate to purchase this. I've seen many routers in my business and see Belkin as one of the best for the money. My signal speed increased dramatically over my B router and is faster than 802.11g. It also Complies with 802.11g standards and is also backward-compatible with 802.11b products.

My main reason for updating my router was because of the new Playstation 3 update which now allows your playstation 3 to connect to your pc to view and play all media stored on your pc. With my B router I found some videos would hesitate while being transmitted to my playstation. Now with this router the media streams perfectly.

It also Includes advanced security features such as WEP and WPA all for approx 50 dollars you can't go wrong.

Love it.

It works great...when it works. It keeps dropping the signal and sometimes it wont work for hours!

    Great Router!, April 25, 2007

This is a sweet 'g' router. I was able to install it in exactly 4 minutes and was up and running with two laptops and one PC (wireless) without a single glitch. Range and speed are exactly as advertised. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed. Well Done Belkin! Again!

Sending it back, March 26, 2007
By user (Chicago, IL United States)
I've had great success with Belkin wireless products in the past. I've installed several for friends and everyone has been very satisfied. My lucky streak has ended with this device.

Setup was not successful with the CD. I got things working through the router's web interface. I always feel a bit uneasy about equipment that starts working for no apparent reason. Once up, the router worked great for wired computers but has a habit of dropping the wireless connection.

I updated the firmware which was problematic as well. The "Update Firmware" shortcut on the web interface connected me to what I later discovered was an outdated file that the router would not accept after multiple attempts to update. Had to go to the support website and download the updated firmware there. Come on Belkin, that's just plain sloppy. Had no problems updating with that version.

Wireless continued to be problematic.

I hate to do it, but I'm sending it back.
