Useless, February 12, 2008
By Shawn Klein (Tempe, AZ USA)
I bought this based on the positive reviews here, but I was never able to get a signal of more than 30% and it often dropped the signal down to a level that was unusable. I almost never got more than 5.5Mbps. I am only about 50ft from the router. I bought a new card from MSI (for about the same money) and I have nearly 100% signal with a consistent 54Mbps.

Good for home wireless networking, October 19, 2007
By S. W. Shin
I have wireless modem at first floor and new computer at groud floor. Therefore, I installed this network adapter to new computer. The adapter works well at relatively long distance without any lagging. My modem supports B, not G.

Great Buffalo Chips at a Great Price, October 17, 2007
By J. Shaver
This WiFi 54g card performs like dynamite. Installation is quick & easy with no glitches. Almost zero setup required and little to no technical knowledge is needed. If you know how to install a PCI card, you're in.
My previous (and inoperable) WiFi card was from AT&T. Setup was too clunky, performance stunk with frequent drops, and a non-intuitive driver app.
The one take-away is that the Buffalo install guide is poorly written, apparently in China. The steps are incorrect, and the screen shots do not match what actually happens. No matter, because you could install this without even looking at the guide. Just install the card, boot & drop in the CD.

Awesome desktop wirless gig here "IF", October 11, 2007
By cary krepps
You know how to take advantage of the connection. Whatever you do... do not use this with Belkin anything. It'll yield a pretty appalling result for you. I tested this today in a many of ways and finally came to the conclusion "Buffalo works well with Buffalo... Meaning, buy the Buffalo router with this to make it work good. 125mbps is out of the question but 54 is a lock... It's a relatively inexpensive device that acts pretty damn good under the pressure of remote access. I'd defiantly recommend this over the other 4 or 5 wirless cards I've went thru.

Works fine, September 30, 2007
By M. D. Marshall (USA)
Got this a month or two ago, and been using it at my dorm. The auto network feature it has is useless since the campus works off of an entirely different system.
The hardware itself functions fine, I haven't dropped connection, and the distance to the wifi unit I'm connecting to is about 3 blocks away. I'm at 50-70 connectivity which works great.
So in general, it's a good durable piece, and as of yet hasn't caused me any problems.

Over adveristised, August 14, 2007

My opinion is just regular wireless card, nothing fancy, no better transfer 54 mbit max and the range is not extraordinary.

Good Card, August 13, 2007
By R. Johnson (Omaha, NE United States)
This is the first time I set up a wireless desktop in my home. I had a lot of trouble configuring it until I set it to DHCP. Not a failure on the product, just user error. Works great and as advertised. Signal reception is not as strong as I expected but no drops have been experienced. I am using with LinkSys Wireless Access Point.

Good deal for the price, July 17, 2007
By N. (VA)
I bought two of these adapters: one for each of my PCs. They are everything they say they are in the company promotional material and I have had no problems with them. You ought to read the promo material carefully before buying to be sure you're getting what you want, and read the directions once you get it. I'm using them with a non-Buffalo router (Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router) and they work great. I recommend this adapter to anyone intending to create a wireless network within the home.

You Get What You Pay For, July 5, 2007
By Imaginos
I have it connected to a G network and it works just as fast as any other device I have. It's very stable; haven't seen it lose the wireless signal yet. The included software is easy to install and convenient if you ever have to switch between two or more wireless networks. It even ran with IE 5 installed, which the system requirements said it couldn't work with. Go figure. Overall, the card works great. It is a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.
