Celestix Load Balancer (CLB) is an easy to use and one of the most cost effective IP load balancing solutions available in the market that ensures reliability, performance and high availability of your application infrastructure. CLB offers failover capabilities during server failure as well as does distribution of traffic across multiple servers.CLB offers several load balancing methods to distribute traffic across servers, including simple weighted round-robin, random, client address hashing and "least resource" based on agent supplied information. Using a built-in intelligent health check engine that monitors the health of all the servers in the load balancing pool, CLB can seamlessly switch the traffic when there is a server failure.Celestix CLB is used to provide fail-over and redundancy for many commonly deployed enterprise services, which include: Web Applications (Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Outlook Web Access, etc.), Security gateways (Firewalls, SSL VPN, URL filtering, SPAM, Anti-virus, etc.), Microsoft Terminal Services, Servers providing SMTP servicesCLB is based on the Celestix's fourth generation Scorpio X appliance platform. The Scorpio X has been finely tuned to provide a compelling price / performance ratio as a hardware platform.
