Designed with direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) radio frequency technology, the Aironet AP4800 efficiently handles large files and bandwidth-intensive applications. Now remote workgroups, small offices or branch offices can quickly and easily be added to the network without expensive, time-consuming cabling - and have real-time access to the network. The Aironet AP4800 Turbo DS extends networks wherever needed - transferring video, voice and data at speeds comparable to wired networks. Multiple AP4800s can be installed throughout a facility to add "cells" of coverage. Because the AP4800 supports 1, 2, 5.5, and 11 Mbps data rates, it can easily be incorporated into existing 4500 series networks - allowing both Aironet PC4800 and PC4500 equipped clients to access network resources at the maximum data rate. |
