Description:
D-Link introduces yet another innovation in wireless connectivity - the D-Link AirPro DI-764, a multimode wireless broadband router. The DI-764 combines the latest advancements in 802.11b silicon chip design from Texas Instruments, utilizing their patented Digital Signal Processing technology along with impressive high-speed performance and features of the Atheros 802.11a chip design. The DI-764 is the ideal solution for anyone who needs to expand the capacity of their existing wireless networks and allow users on different frequencies to connect. The DI-764 multimode wireless router is also a best-of-both-worlds solution for those operating wireless networks in public areas where the extra bandwidth can attract additional paying customers. This is especially applicable to wireless networks in busy commercial enterprises like coffee shops, bookstores, high school or university libraries, or anywhere people congregate. In addition to simultaneously bridging 802.11a and 802.11b wireless networks, the D-Link AirPro DI-764 can bridge to wired networks with its four integrated 10/100 Fast Ethernet ports. Advanced users will be pleased to find easy-to-apply policy-based content filters that can be set based on MAC address, IP address, URL and/or Domain Name and scheduled to be in effect at certain hours of the day. Additional features include pass-through of multiple concurrent IPSec and PPTP VPN sessions for telecommuters or for anyone who needs to transmit sensitive information more securely. All of these features are accessible in an easy-to-navigate, web-based user interface. With a few quick clicks, the DI-764 makes it easy to quickly and securely connect computers to share a high-speed Internet connection, files, resources, games or just to communicate.

good router / Bad tech support, March 12, 2003
By user (Los Angeles, CA)
D-link has the worst technical support team ever. It seems like they have high school students working for them. I take it back. Most high school students probably know more. I returned the product because of their tech support! Not sure if I will buy D-link again. There are many other great network company.
