D-Link Wireless N products use Intelligent Antenna technology to transmit multiple streams of data which enable you to receive wireless signals in the farthest corners of your home.     What-a-deal!, July 7, 2008

A router and a network card for such a low price? I was very skeptical at first.
Router: I have a DSL connection, and everything has been working flawlessly. Of course, as with any hardware purchase, I had downloaded all the latest drivers/firmware from the manufacturer's site prior to install. I almost never end up using the software CD's that come with the package. I even had to contact tech support to help me set up my wireless network, and they were very helpful and got the issue resolved.

Network card: Performance-wise the card catches so many more networks than my Pre-N card, it's not even funny. Also, when I VPN to my computer at work, I no longer need to do it using a wired connection. Yes, the network card is THAT fast.

cable modem users beware........., December 29, 2007

I was excited to get such a deal. Both the card adapter and wireless router for such a reasonable price. That excitement turned to anger when I was unable to get them to work properly. It would go in streaks, my laptop would not be able to connect to the router. I am fairly savy with computer so after much reconfiguring and messing with settings, I broke down and called tech support. Apparently the firmware on the the router was problematic from the factory. For those who do not know what firmware is, It is the software that the router uses to operate. Tech support was able to quickly walk me through downloading the new firmware. After that I reconfigured the router and everything worked great....... for a day. We still had consistant problems connecting the the internet. I gave up and sent it back for a full refund. I hear these work great with DSL, BUT because of the type of connection you have with a Cable modem. The connection comes and goes. If you have a cable modem and get this. Be prepared for some extra work, that might not get you anywhere......
