| The DWL-1000AP+ is an enterprise wireless access point featuring advanced silicon chip design from Texas Instruments, utilizing their patented Digital Signal Processing technology providing more secure wireless connectivity and expansion for emerging enterprises.The DWL-1000AP+ can be configured to perform in any one of five modes - as wireless access point, as a point-to-point bridge with another DWL-1000AP+, as a point-to-multi-point wireless bridge, as a wireless client, or as a wireless repeater.In access point mode, the DWL-1000AP+ offers a load-balancing feature that maximizes the wireless bandwidth available to wireless clients by sharing the load within a group of access points. Additionally, the DWL-1000AP+ provides a redundancy feature to allow it to be configured to backup a primary access point. These advanced features along with 802.1x support makes the DWL-1000AP+ an ideal solution for hotspot deployments, for creating and extending wireless local networks in offices or other workplaces where wireless security is required.The DWL-1000AP+is fully compatible with the IEEE 802.11b standard making it interoperable with all existing 802.11b compliant devices.
