Great Product! (Get the updated driver off D-Link website)., November 24, 2003
By unknown
Bought D-link DI-614+ router, DCM-201 cable modem, and the DWL-120+ USB adapter as a complete wireless system. As the D-link ads say, yes, all three worked together flawlessly. In fact, I did not even need to program the router or the USB adapter. Once the modem was hooked up to the local cable network, and connected to the wireless router, the USB adapter networked immediately. I did all the wireless security programming off the computer via the USB wireless hookup. Note: If you have Win 98SE or Win Me, install the updated driver (ver. 1.02) off the D-Link site. The original driver that comes with the hardware will cause your system to hang every time you boot-up the computer. I highly recommend anyone to buy a wireless system made up entirely of D-link units, because the setup is painless.

Remarkable performance, small package, October 31, 2003
By sded (San Diego, CA USA)
Outstanding sensitivity and performance compared to other USB adapters I have tried and much better than my built-in mini-PCI card. Better SNR by up to 20dB, sees more APs. Utilities are very useful. Works with NetStumbler also. Installs easily under XP. D-Link support could be better, but few issues. Highly recommended.

mostly good, October 25, 2003

I had a hard time connecting it to my WXP needing to driver download. And then it flashed several times trying to connect to my Linksys router. It still does an in/out connect frequently. But once settled in it has great range for the household, easily beating out Linksys and Netgear adapters.

Great Little Pocket Adapter, October 23, 2003
By P. Wilson
I bring this with my laptop and whenever I want a wireless connection I just need to plug this in my USB slot and BAM I can start searching for a htospot. This USB adapter has been working great with zero problems since I got it. Software is nice as well, since it is pretty informative and helps you find a good AP to connect to. Range is surprisingly good as well.

It reboots my machine, October 16, 2003
By allen_chiang (San Jose, CA United States)
I tried it on two machines running window 2000 Pro. One got blue screen, the other got reboot. Swap a new one with dealer, problem still happened. A nice wireless adapter if it won't reboot my machine.

Easy to install, easy to use, October 13, 2003

I originally purchased the D-Link 520+ wireless PCI adapter and installed it in my mother's eMachine. Whenever I would shut down the pc, I received a blue screen of death with a hardware malfunction and NMI:Parity check error. Apparently, this is a frequent problem with that adapter. I am returning it because I purchased this DWL 120+ adapter, and it worked PERFECTLY. No problems on shutdown.

Nice little package at a good price, September 5, 2003

I was very impressed with the size, receiver range and installation of this product. I also have a Linksys USB adapter and I couldn't get coverage in my entire house. The DWL-120+ gives me complete coverage so I could move my office out of my bedroom (read: wife is happy). Previous D-Link products had terrible installation software and instructions. This product was much improved.

great range ability and easy to use, September 3, 2003
By juan
with the USB cable that is provided you can position this in the best possible position for the best wireless signal quality. for example: if i was to place this adapter on top of my PC case I get 50%-60% signal strength, but if i put it on the top of my desk at a higher point away from electronics like my PC and my monitor i get 75-80% signal strength. The link quality is the same in either spot but that strength gets me an extra couple Mbps in transfer speeds.this adapter was also very easy to install and get working. configuration is a snap and i'd bet most people find this very useful.

Great product, August 25, 2003
By charlyhad (Mesa, AZ United States)
Very easy and super fast set up. Instructions are simple and concise. I installed it for an older Toshiba desktop (Celeron 466 MHZ), under W98SE, and it works flawlessly. It sits in a bedroom behind 2 closed doors and 3 walls with 2 large storage closets, and gets a strong signal (over 95%) from DI-713P, which is set up as an access point (infrastructure) with 802.11b. It probably would be even faster with another Airplus 22Mbps product. No configuration needed, and truly PnP and running in about 5 minutes. It supports 64/128/256-bit WEP, and carries a 3 years warranty. The price, with the current rebate, makes it an even greater value. What more can I say about D-Link that I have not said before!

Good Product, August 20, 2003
By dqbui (Huntington Beach, CA United States)
Although I usually buy netgear stuff (I own a netgear wireless router), I opted to get the d-link USB adapter. Setup wasn't a problem and it works very well. I'm satisfied with it so far. In addition, this unit is small. I was pretty surprised. It's smaller than a wallet, about 2"x3".
