The Emulex Performance 2500 Series of multiprotocol Communication Servers provide network access locally and remotely via dial-up for terminals, PCs, modems, and printers into Unix TCP/IP and DEC LAT networks. The P2500 Series is designed for use in small workgroups or as part of a PC Unix system and is available in 4, 8, or 16-port configurations. The P2500 Series offers superior performance at a competitive price.With the Protocol Translation Gateway feature any Emulex server can act as a gateway between TCP/IP and LAT hosts. This feature allows terminals attached to single protocol devices, like a DECserver or Unix host, to gain access to resources with a dissimilar protocol. Both Unix and LAT users alike will enjoy the easy to use local mode command interface that uniquely combines Unix-style commands and a DECserver compatible interface. Combine this with a comprehensive set of server help functions and your users will be up and running quickly.
