| The Hawking H-WR258 lets you share your broadband Internet connection among multiple users in your home or office. Go wireless with IEEE 802.11b wireless technology or get wired using Cat.5 Standard Ethernet cabling. This all-in-one unit combines the functions of a Wireless Access Point for wireless networking, a High-Performance Router to share your Internet connection, and a 4-Port 10/100 switch to connect all the computers in your network at the fastest possible speeds. The Wireless Router provides security for your network by using a NAT firewall to protect from unwanted intruders and attacks. Along with basic firewall security features, the H-WR258 also includes an Email Notification Feature that allows up to 4 users to input their email information onto the router. The Wireless Router will automatically check for new emails on a user-set interval and notify the user with an LED alert when new mail has been detected on that account. The H-WR258 is designed using a high-performance processor to optimize the performance of your wireless and wired networks. The Wireless Router is equipped with a removable antenna, making it possible to upgrade to a Hi-Gain 24 Wireless Antenna.
