Another HP disappointment, July 30, 2008
By user
I bought this upgrade per HP support suggestion. It is supposed to work with my HP notebook and my HP printer. After numerous hours trying to get this to work with Vista I gave up. I will NEVER buy HP again. Thanks for letting me vent.

PIECE OF JUNK!, July 10, 2008
By user (St. Louis, MO)
Piece of JUNK! The wireless upgrade will not work with WiFi, cordless phone, Bluetooth, or VPN network. Can you tell me what kind of office does not have one if not ALL of these? The intereference disconnects the wireless printer connection. And yes, before returning I thought I could try using it on my Mac - NOPE. Not compatible. 45 minutes on the phone with HP Support so that the tech could explain to me how to buy a longer phone cord - which wasn't my problem in the first place. I just don't want my USB cord draped across my office with my printer/fax sitting in the middle of the floor! Don't waste your time and money - you'll have to return it anyway. Mine is going back today!

HP Wireless Kit - GREAT PRODUCT!!!!, June 16, 2008
By user (Tampa Bay, FL)
I bought a new laptop and needed to be wireless. I work across my office from the printer and getting up to "cable-up" every time was a hassel. I bought the HP Wireless Kit to work with my HP Printer and it's amazing. Installation was easy. No conflicts, no printing problems, nothing! I also bought two of these for my father's home office using two computers. He uses it with one laptop connecting to one HP printer and the other computer uses the kit with a Minolta Color Printer. Again, no problems with installation or use. You can only use ONE of these kits per computer, per printer. There is a conflict if you try to set up more than one. Other than that, I highly recommend this product to increase productivity & increase mobility and to get rid of some of those unsightly wires.

I Got it Setup and Working Great with Windows Xp & Vista, May 30, 2008
By user
this upgrade kit hooks up easily to my hp photosmart c4100 all-in-one printer. my wireless network consist of a pc with windows xp, a laptop with vista, and a second pc also with vista. after i figured out how to hook up the 1st pc and the laptop with only one pc adapter, with the laptop i printed a test page w/o the adapter just my wifi connection it worked great. now all i need to to do is set up my 2nd pc, and i know it will work fine. i did not have to make any calls to hp tech support i just read the simple steps on the support website for hp products after i registered my upgrade kit. took a total of 15 minutes.

A dowgrade Kit - Don't buy it, April 18, 2008
By user (Sao Paulo, Brazil)
The product sucks, doesn't work like the marketing messages from HP, and the support services from HP are useless.
I have wasted 6 hours trying to make it work but it's really not worthed.
Buy a printer with the wireless interface already in place.

hp wireless review, April 9, 2008
By user (New Orleans, LA)
Great price, but does not work very well. Have to enter sometimes up to 3 times for it to print. Also, it should have a printer on feature so that you don't have to maintain your printer on 24/7. Installation was very easy, but product does tend to act up periodically. Thanks.

Pretty Good!, March 27, 2008

This product works like it says and makes things a little more convenient; however, it is not as practical as I thought I would be.

hp wireless printing upgrade kit, March 11, 2008
By user (Houston,tx)
This product works very well I bought it and was expecting to have some installation problems, and had none. Just follow the directions that come with the kit and it works. I have not had a problem yet. I installed it on my hp all in one printer and my two laptop computers, one Dell and one Toshba I print from up stairs or down. Documents, maps so far any thing. I have had it for about 2 months.

Wireless users BE SURE TO READ THE REVIEW BY John Knecht, March 2, 2008
By user
Anyone with a wireless network BE SURE TO READ the review by John Theodore Knecht "John Knecht" IS A MUST READ!!! This fellow has gone to a lot of trouble to help us out where the HP boy's once again dropped the ball... The instructions on this suck but John found the answer to how to hook up the stupid unit to your wireless network I was having to switch the wireless doggle from computer to computer by walking to the other room when I wanted to print. I was about to return and just locate the printer with the DSL router and plug the printer into the router when I read his VERY HELPFUL REVIEW... I am glad that this time I did not have to do the search for this HP foul up or maybe a fowl up, you never know with these large companies now days as the tech very rarely know what the hell they are talking about. The last time I call HP was about not being able to load the 7350 printer driver onto drive D: where my dual booted up the second Operating system.. The stupid woman tech said at first the problem was my CD then she said you cannot load a second set into your second operation system... I spent 4 hours and call the supervisor back and told her how. She said no one had ever done that.. Showes what they know just like John's experiance. Bring our SERVICE BACK TO THE U.S.A.!!!!!!!

Junk that won't work and Isn't Supported by HP, January 6, 2008
By user
If you like ordering something, only to return it because it won't work, isn't supported, and commitments made to you by a Support Center to have someone call you back with a fix for a known problem are ignored, you'll love the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit. I don't know if it works with Windows XP but I do know that trying to make it work as advertised with Vista isn't possible. I've made a promise to myself to never buy another HP product.

The HP Router That Never Stops Working, Even PC is Off, December 23, 2007
By user (Honduras, Central America)
Reynold Dean Garrido Says; This Item Works great. The only problem I see with,Is that I'm unable to turn it off when not in use. I actually have to unpluged from the wall, And that is very inconvenience to do. Otherwise is fine.

Print without a router, November 29, 2007
By user (entire USA)
I bought this server because I didn't want to have a router. It connects directly to the computer and works well. Follow the directions carefully - HP is not the clearest writer. In use , turn on the printer then click 'connect' on the computer. HP says that the device will work only with HP printers & computers but it allows both printing and scanning. I'm happy with it.

Unstable and not worth the price or hassle, November 4, 2007
By user (Hong Kong, China)
I bought this and installed according to instructions. It printed the test page fine then a one page Word document. Thirty minutes later when I tried to print there was no response, it said connection was lost and the document lodged in the print queue, could not be deleted. I was forced to reboot the entire system. After this, I could again print a new document, but 10 mins after that when I tried another document the same problem occurred. This happened repeatedly despite trying all the options in the instruction materials such as changing channels. My printer is only 3m from the PC and it is supposed to work easily within 9m. After a nightmare 24 hours trying everything along with about 50 reboots of my PC, I tried to take it back to the shop (of course, they then tested it and said they could find nothing wrong with it and refused to give me my money back). It's an unstable product which I have replaced it with an extra long USB cable with booster which cost a fraction of the price but at least is reliable.

Antiwireless Printing, November 1, 2007
By user
I think this product is lousy. When I got this for my HP PSC 1315v all in one I could not scan like I wanted. I can print but when I need to scan using the wireless kit it is obsolete and I have to use wires again. If I known about this I would not buy this product at all.

Good range, August 23, 2007
By user (Tennessee)
I can print from my laptop while I'm on the other side of the house. If you're using Windows Vista, the CD doesn't work. You'll have to download the software from HP's website. Otherwise, good product.

Worked fine with Vista, August 13, 2007
By user (Connecticut)
Bought this to hook to a new HP Notebook to an HP Printer; worked fine right out of the box after I downloaded and installed the Vista drivers from HP. Very simple automatic install under Vista. Just a quick note, make sure your printer is on the "compatible printer list" from HP before you buy. No problems printing graphics, and printer works fine thirty feet from notebook. Two thumbs up!

HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit, July 13, 2007
By user (United States)
I am unhappy with the product. It works 95% of the time with my desktop and the PC adapter included with the kit. (Resetting the connection is necessary if there is a power outage or when the printer adapter is removed and reinserted or when the printer is shut down and restarted.) The operation using my existing wireless network for a second PC (a laptop) is an unsatisfactory experience. Once I get it working, it is OK, but every time I start up the laptop and try to print it requires resetting or reconfiguraing or reinstalling the drivers. I asked HP (twice) if a separate PC adapter could be purchased (because there is no part number for it) and received no response. The wireless network operation for a second PC stinks!!
