IT administrators can manage and monitor the network of access points remotely via standard web browser.Up to 11Mbps throughput provides reliable access to email, Internet, file sharing and other network resources. The Intel PRO/Wireless 2011 LAN Access Point always seeks to connect at 11Mbps and then switches to 5.5, 2 or 1, as network traffic demands, for increased signal range - up to 500 meters, for broad roaming capabilities. Dynamic rate scaling, IP mobile functionality and advanced transmit/receive technology allow multiple Intel PRO/Wireless 2011 LAN Access Points to serve users on the go. The Access Points automatically adjust connection speeds according to traffic demands, assuring mobile workers and students optimal performance with reliable network access. Omnidirectional (360 degrees) and directional (20-90 degrees) signal control allows Intel PRO/Wireless 2011 LAN Access Points to be configured for specific power and wiring requirements. In some locations - conference rooms, temporary classrooms, or information kiosks, for example - network access may be desirable, but network wiring is impractical.
