Whether you work from the office or on the road, this option enables connectivity to existing 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g networks. It improves mobility and provides the performance necessary for high bandwidth applications such as Multimedia delivery, IP telephony and large file transfers. This high-performance Wi-Fi adapter ships complete with ThinkVantage Access Connections. This easy to use utility allows you to seamlessly switch between wired and wireless environments, managing security settings, printers, home page and other location-specific settings automatically. Compatibility with the 802.11b and 802.11g protocols lets you leverage the large install base of 802.11b technology. You also benefit from higher data rates up to 54 Mbps when connecting to an 802.11g or 802.11a-based access point. In addition, this adapter supports most major wireless encryption policies.
