| The Linksys Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a 3G/UMTS or GPRS Internet connection (requires Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/UMTS data card, available separately). You can also use a standard Ethernet attached Internet connection, like a cable or DSL modem, if available.Once your computers are connected to the Router and the Internet, they can communicate with each other too, sharing document files, a printer, storage space, and other resources.To protect your data and privacy, the Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband can encode all wireless LAN transmissions with WEP or industrial-strength WPA Personal encryption. The Router can serve as a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based configuration utility.With the Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband, you can create a secure wireless network with Internet connectivity, anywhere that 3G/UMTS or GPRS service is available. |

Great Product WITH some qualifiers, August 14, 2008

This product is great. Linksys has farmed out their customer support overseas, so it sucks now. BUT, this is really easy to set up.
1) make sure your card is on their APPROVED list (only 3 cards work for Verizon)
2) make sure your card has been activated and you have USED it in a comptuer, you cannot take a live card and just plug it in
3) have another internet source available while installing, that way you can log into Linksys Chat for any tech/setup related questions
4) patience and a basic understanding on how these networks setup. If you have set up a previous wireless g or something, you know enough
