| Description: |
| Jump-start your wireless network! This Wireless-G Network Kit for Notebooks provides you with a Wireless-G Broadband Router (the heart of your network), and a Wireless-G Notebook Adapter to get your PC connected, quick and easy. The Wireless Router lets you securely share your DSL or Cable Modem Internet connection with all the computers in the house, both wireless and wired. You can connect four computers directly to the Router by Ethernet cables, and daisy-chain out to more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. Or, use the Router's built-in Wireless Access Point to connect your PC to the network without stringing any wires. That's where the Wireless-G Notebook Adapter comes in. Just plug it into your notebook through a PC Card slot. Wireless networking doesn't get any easier. Of course, you can connect more computers to the Router and your high-speed Internet link - just provide a wired or wireless network adapter for each one. And once your computers are connected to the Router, they can communicate with each other too, sharing resources like printers and all kinds of files - music, digital pictures, and documents. To protect your data and privacy, all wireless communications can be protected by industrial-strength 256-bit encryption, while the Router helps keep Internet intruders out of your computers. It's all easier than you think - the included Setup Wizards walk you through configuring the Router and Adapter, step by step. With the Wireless-G Network Kit for Notebooks, you're ready to start sharing printers, files, and your Internet connection, the easy way. |

free from wires, June 8, 2007
By user (Santo Domingo, RD)
The only reason I didnt give this product 5 stars is that sometimes theres a power surge in my house and the router has to be restarted for it to continue working properly. Other than that I love it and have been suggesting this very kit for family and friends.

Great price and great router, March 23, 2007
By user (KC, MO)
I read mixed reviews on this product before purchasing, but I couldnt pass on the price. Router has worked fine for me and my laptop receives great reception anywhere in the house, and outside. The instructions include were a little vague but the linksys website proved to be the most useful for installing.

Good deal on pc-card and router, March 10, 2007
By user (georgia, usa)
Router works well for my needs, 100% to 30% to about 45 feet through house. Card works well on my duel boot Dell Inspiron 4000 laptop running Win2k, but I can't seem to get it working with Ubuntu Edgy. Works with SimplyMephis live CD, no tweaking.

This product has made it easier for me to travel within a range of the antenna. The price value is a very big SAVE.

A good and affordable wireless kit, November 22, 2006
By user
I have been using this wireless kit for 2 weeks and I am satisfied with it. The installation of the wireless card is VERY easy. But one of the cable-plugs of the router (it has four) doesn't work.
