    Constantly disconnects, December 7, 2007
By "Tee" (New Orleans)
I have 3 laptops that never, ever lose connectivity to my router - so don't go blaminig my problem on that! But his card? OMG Let's just put it this way, I have my 128bit passcode memorized because I use it DAILY!!! Yes, I've downloaded the latest driver. Yes, I've changed all the settings as suggested. Yes, I've tried everything suggested. It's just a piece of junk. And according to Linksys blogs, other cards for towers have similar problems. Linksys just lost a loyal customer.

    Works Great, November 7, 2007
By Soccer Luver (Pocatello)
This Wireless card works great with my WRT54G Linksys router. I use WPA with
MAC address filters on my router and all my wireless connections with this card work better than when the PC was connected directly with the DSL router.

Easy installation and setup.

    Still going, October 16, 2007

Purchased this wireless card several years ago and have used it in a few computers I've owned. Still working perfectly to this day with no problems.

pretty good... but not really, September 29, 2007
By Xan (California, USA)
This is a good piece of equipment when it works... when it isn't working it is sometimes the buggiest internet connection ever. Maybe its the combo that sucks... I have an airport express wireless router by apple, since I have a couple mac laptops in my house, and my desktop (a hp media center m7750n) is a door down the hall. I never get 5 bars... sometimes it just doesn't work... and sometimes i get a message that says access: local only which just means im so close yet so far away from internet connection. Do not buy this product unless you're very patient.

    Great Wireless-G Card, September 13, 2007

If you run a home network in your house you should definetly be using the Linksys-WRT54GL, and if you are using that then you should probably be using this Wireless-G card. Works great!

    Can't Keep Signal, August 23, 2007
By cajun boy (Geneva,IL)
I just bought a 3G Compaq computer with a pentium4 processor. It came with Vista Home on it. First off, the adapter instuctions tell you to go to the Linksys website to download the driver for Vista. If I could do that, then I wouldn't need an adapter! I tried to download the vista driver to a CD on another computer and then load that CD on to my computer. I tried for 4 days and never did figure out how to do it. I finally paid $88.00 to have it done. The card now works for a few minutes and then I'm told that my computer has no network. My son's computer has another brand of card in it and it never has a problem. I've invested too much time and money to put up with this crraap.

Wireless PCI adapter, July 27, 2007

I bought this for my new desktop computer that I just moved from my upstair den to downstair bedroom. In order not to pull the cable around the house, I add this to the desktop to work wirelessly.

The installation is a easy snap, and it takes no time to get it going. I do noticed the small slowdown on the speed, specially when I play on-line games. For the tradeoff, I can live with it.

    Very good, June 20, 2007

I'm happy about this buy, but i have to say that the installation program that comes in the CD-ROM, trows a problem, sometimes it doesnt install the program correctly, and then you have to do it again. I Buy 2 of them, and in both computers i've installed them, it gets me the same problem...

    Horrible., June 19, 2007
By Chad Geri
I should have known better. After having problems with the Linksys wireless G router for over a year, I was stupid enough to purchase another Linksys product... the Wireless-G PCI adapter. Why did I do this? Because it was cheaper than the other routers. Why did I take it back to the store two weeks later? Because it was a piece of junk that never worked right.

We have a desktop computer in the same room as a laptop computer. The laptop connected to our wireless network just fine, and it reliably maintained the connection all day long. The desktop with the brand new Linksys PCI card connected to the network sporadically at best, and sometimes couldn't even detect the network. There were occasionas that went on literally for hours when we couldn't connect to the internet for more than a few seconds at a time. Save your time and your money and invest in one of the many better options that are available. And avoid Linksys like the plague.

    Easy install, May 25, 2007
By John O'sullivan (Atlanta, GA)
No brainer to install. Took about 20 minutes (10 of which trying to figure out how to open the PC case!). It's a little slower than the ethernet direct connect, but so far, no problems. It detected the wireless router first time.

    Wireless adapter, May 7, 2007

Nice piece of hardware. Installed nice. recognized by WinXP no problem.

Only complaint is Linksys software. Was really squirrely. I recommend using the Windows drivers and interface. Not as many bells and whistles but much more stable.

but this was easy to install and its easy to use! i would reccomend this to anyone who is looking for wireless access if they're not big on technology (like installing stuff IN your computer, not just using a disk to upload stuff).

One software glitch, April 1, 2007
By happyvargr (Mechanicsburg, PA USA)
I installed this card in a Dell XPS 400 with WinXP Media Center 6 months ago. Setup was easy enough. I can't comment on signal strength as I'm only about 15 feet from the router (My wireless net is more for my other PCs).

One annoyance: the monitor software that ships with the router has a slight glitch (I've also complained about this software in my review of the WPC54G laptop card). Occasionally the software will start arbitrarily dropping and reconnecting to the router (a Linksys WRT54G). The software will flip between "connected" and "scanning" over and over until I end up closing it and restarting it. The problem is rare enough - about 1 occurance per month.

Overall: good buy for the price.

So far so good, March 21, 2007

I had no complains so far about this Wireless adapter, it has a good range and it's easy to install. I will review this comment in a few months but so far so good...

Great little piece of hardware, March 21, 2007

Installation and setup was a breeze. Just follow the directions given onscreen from the disc and away you go. Performance is great and for the money it is worth it.

Good performance, no surprises., March 16, 2007

Installed without hassles, and has very informative and user-friendly network connection software. No surprises.

    Great product, March 15, 2007

I haven't had this product long but, it works great with my Linksys router. Easy to install with the CD.

Watch the antenna, March 9, 2007
By R. Persak
While easy to install and setup the antenna on this unit needs to be improved. I've had two and they both broke off when bumped.

THIS MICROCHIP BROADCASTED MY DATUM!!!, February 28, 2007
By RustyLix (Chicago, IL)
If your data needs broadcasting YOU SHOULD BUY THIS MICROCHIP!!! It has this thing called an "antennae" which will send your data to hell and back. If you know what a WEP key is, you can configure this microchip with your eyes closed.

    Not what I expect, February 27, 2007

This card doesn't have more signal than a common Wireless of a notebook.
