| Ideally suited to the branch office or SOHO, the RoamAbout R1 provides simple, flexible and secure wireless networking connectivity to any office with a DSL or cable modem connection to the Internet, enabling organizations to limit the cost associated with extending connectivity at a new location while still ensuring a secure network. The RoamAbout R1 has three 10/100 Ethernet ports, an Ethernet WAN interface and a printer port, as well as an internal 802.11b wireless radio card. The Ethernet WAN interface links the R1 to the enterprise or Internet through any DSL or cable modem, while the 10/100 ports and printer port create a small LAN for users who require an all-in-one solution for a small office.In addition to LAN-connection flexibility, the RoamAbout R1 provides important network security and management features including 40- and 128-bit encryption, VPN pass through, network address translation (NAT), dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP), advanced packet filtering and wireless-to-wired Ethernet bridging. As an added feature, the R1 also offers Hacker Attack logging for many forms of known attacks such as IP Spoofing, Snork Attack and Ping of Death. |
