| The SG2000 is the first in a new generation of network security gateways based on state-of-the-art Network Processor technology. Surpassing the speed of inflexible ASIC-based solutions, the SG2000 FireFlex Network Processor architecture was designed to meet the most demanding, rapidly evolving network security applications.Utilizing hardware-based stateful inspection technology, the SG2000 allows the Service Provider to offer flexible managed security services and the Enterprise to manage mission-critical, multi-site security. Through secure Virtual Gateways, a single SG2000 allows individual policy and management for up to 500 individual customer firewalls. SG2000's state-of-the-art FireFlex Network Processor architecture provides full 1Gbps full duplex Firewall performance with up to 500,000 concurrent sessions. Hardware assisted encryption engine allows 1Gbps 3DES encryption, with or without simultaneous authentication. System speed can scale in the future to 10Gbps with future Network Processor technology. With the SG2000, redundancy has been pushed through the whole system: from the inputs and outputs, to RAID-1 disk mirroring, to the redundant AC or DC power supplies. Additionally, standard High-Availability mode allows the SG2000 to be configured in a fast-failover mode to protect against network and equipment failure. |
