Smoked up as soon as it connects to USB, July 31, 2008
By user (Elk Grove, CA USA)
I have 2 of these on 2 different computers, both smoked as soon as it connected. I installed the driver first, reboot the PC, connecting the USB port, then it starts giving out burning smell. I immediately disconnect it from the USB port and put in a flash drive to verify my PC is ok. And it behaves the same on the 2nd unit on my new computer, behaved excatly the same. As soon as the PC re-boot and get to log on, it smoked. Under both cases, the USB ports on both PC are okay. Call for help to Trendnet, no comment on the issue and asked me to pay for shipping to send them back!?!?!?? I would not buy this brand for a long time. RMA# 105049 - Product Ref case # 110095 & 110097.

USB Adapter does not work for me., July 28, 2008
By user (Sarasota Florida)
The Trendnet 108mbps wireless adapter worked the first time after is set up the software but does not reconnect on the same computer and wireless router. The software may be the problem it is not user friendly and at this point i cannot get it to work at all. I would not recommend this product.

best cheap choice, July 27, 2008
By user
The first one I received was broken. I contacted the customer service, then they sent me a new one, and I didn't have to send back the broken item. The new one I got works perfect with my Vista computers. Highly recommend it!

Works well and is easy to setup, June 25, 2008
By user (NJ)
The price was right and was fairly easy to setup. I read that it didn't work with Vista but in fact it does. If you go to the Trendnet web site there is a driver for the unit and within a minute after rebooting it found the wireless usb and my network no problem. Seems very fast too!

Piece of worthless plastic, June 21, 2008
By user
I bought this for my job tried to get it to work but it would not register on either of my computers. Called the tech people and they also confirmed that there was a problem. Let me know that I would have to return the item. Then they had the nerve to expect me to pay to return it to them. Horrible product and service. Go with a real company that makes quality products.

Wireless router connection, November 29, 2007
By user (Torrance, CA USA)
I am extremely pleased with this connector. I have a children's computer that is now able to connect to the Internet because of this connector. With all the Children's games on the Internet, it keeps the kids busy.

Always Losing Network; Flimsy, October 1, 2007
By user (Tampa, FL USA)
This TRENDnet wireless usb adapter is terrible. I just got a linksys wusb54g today. This 'TRENDnet' is flimsy. You can actually bend the USB plug, and sometimes the plastic case comes loose. It is always dropping the connection, it looks cheesy, and the blinking light is annoying.

TrendNet Adapter, August 11, 2007
By user (Portland, OR)
Seems to work well so far...extends the range of wifi to my laptop. The adapter is larger than the pictures. It seems rather fragile, that it would bend or be damaged if the laptop is not on a flat surface.

keeps loosing the network, April 18, 2007
By user (TN)
i bought this to use in my newly upgraded desktop with windows vista. it CONTINUALLY drops the wireless signal (at least every hour) - when you click to connect to a network it does not find any networks. pulling it out and pushing it back in seems to recover the network almost every time, but this is really annoying to have to do repeatedly. it is not a signal strength issue in general, as another desktop in the same room and two laptops that frequent the room have no trouble getting good signals.

It does what it says...not a review for computer geeks, January 6, 2007
By user
It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I've had to restart the application throught it's software here and there - so that's why I took one star away.....but for the most part it works very well. I recommend it.
