very pleased with hawking WR254 wireless router, July 9, 2004

i purchased WR254 this week, it is my first wireless router ever. let me fully describe you my network situation. the wireless network is actually being built between 3 different appartments approx. situated in 25m circle. the DSL connection is in one appartment, while i have to install the WR254 in my neighbours (the second appartment) and my laptop is located in 3rd appartment. the computers in appartments 1 and 2 are to be wired networked while i was planning to connect my compaq laptop wirelessly. the procedure for connection computers in appartments 1 and 2 was fairly easy. but it took me almost 3 hours to connect my laptop with WR254. finally i have got the wireless signals from my neighbours. and now it is going very well, the pages upload and download on my laptop without any problem. and i think at the typing of this review i am approximately 100 feet apart from the router. and i have good signal strength. whatelse you need, i can take my laptop almost everywhere in me one bedroom appartment. please note that the DSL modem is in appartment 1 , router is in appartment 2 and i live in appartment 3. and we are all enjoying the sharing of internet connection. if you have any question you can write me an email at saqib3d@yahoo.com. i will try to be of some help. thanks
