Reliable but poor range, November 18, 2007

I've had this product for about a month. I originally bought it for $32.99. I was initially interested because it says it gets 108mb/second. I suppose that depends on your internet connection; I never got anything past 54mb/second. It doesn't drop the connection, which is nice, but the range is not very good, hence I gave it three stars. I bought this to replace my internal wireless adapter for my compaq presario v6000 laptop which no longer works, so that is the base of my comparison. Installation is really simple, but be sure to keep the original CD (driver) as it is difficult to find online and XP doesn't appear to accept the adapter automatically without the driver.
