TROY Serial Servers include a built-in web browser interface, allowing you to manage them from any computer on the network with a web browser. TROY also provides ExtendView, a Windows utility allowing you to configure and manage multiple devices at one time with easy to use wizards for setup. The serial server also has a built-in command console accessible via TELNET or the serial port for more sophisticated diagnostics and configuration. Serial Port Emulator software is also included which allows you to configure virtual serial ports on a Windows system (for example, COM3) that redirect all of the data out to the TROY Serial Servers on your network allowing you to continue to use of your current applications. The serial server's enclosure is made of rugged 18 gauge pre-plated galvanized steel with an IP40 industrial-grade rating. Side flange mounts allow for permanent installation on virtually any surface, or on a DIN rail using the optional DIN rail-mounting bracket. The unit can withstand electrostatic discharges as high as 15 kV at the serial input/output pins. It complies to MIL-STD-202F (method 213B) for shock at up to 20 G's, and it complies to MIL-STD-202F (method 204D) for vibration at up to 7 G's.
