We live in Germany and had problems setting up a wireless network with other equipment. Glad we did - it worked like a champ. I was concerned when the quick start guide didn't addess installation with Vista. Just followed the XP directions and within 5 minutes I was connected! Connection speed is as fast as gateway computer. I highly recommend this product.

I use x64 bit operating systems & I had problems with other
USB adaptors. But eversince I procured ZyXEL adaptor, all the
compatability issues simply vanished. This is a superb product!

Bought this for my girlfriend...she was a using a linksys usb adapter and that was really a piece of junk. Set this up in about 3 minutes and she was good to go. Been using it for about 2 weeks now and its worked absolutely perfectly!

This has been a convenient USB adapter for my house desktop connected to a linksys. While our service was out, my roommates picked up signals on their laptops, but I did not.

I started looking at wireless adapters because I was intending to build myself a desktop, and my laptop's wireless card was pre WPA and WPA2. The house I had just moved into had a wireless router already, but it was using WPA encryption, with a pre-shared key (PSK). I of course could not connect with my laptop.
Enter this wonderful zyxel adapter. I purchased it because it was usb, and because of the handy extension and usb stick design. Now, after building my desktop I have it plugged into the back of my desktop with the extension. If I want to use my laptop, I simply disconnect the stick from the stand and plug it into my laptop. It couldn't be easier.
As far as the software goes, I don't see anything particularly wrong with the included software. It's not fancy, but it works. The windows wireless manager also works. And this device works flawlessly with Vista.
